The Best Restaurants in Cracow [2025]

Cracow is full of great restaurants, but it’s not always easy to find the ones that are truly worth it. After living here and trying out countless places, we’ve put together this list of the best restaurants in Cracow. Whether you’re looking for a spot for a date, brunch, or a good dinner, these are our favourites.
Ziyad (Zinar Castle)

We’re kicking off this list with the restaurant that’s furthest from the city center, but also the most unique: a restaurant in a castle. If you’re looking for where to eat in Krakow and want a different kind of experience, Ziyad Restaurant is a great pick. It’s about 15 minutes from the center by car or Uber, and even though it’s a bit out of the way, we love going there when we’re in the mood for something special.
They serve delicious breakfasts, but you’ll also find great options for lunch or dinner. It’s the perfect spot for a date, especially at sunset—the castle sits on a hill, and its terrace is just right for watching the sun go down.
And the best part? You can even spend the night. The castle is home to an elegant hotel – Zinar. I mean, who wouldn’t want to sleep in a castle?
Szara, one of the best restaurants in Cracow
If you’re looking for an elegant restaurant in Krakow’s historic center, Szara is an excellent choice. It’s located right next to the Main Market Square, and if the weather’s nice, you can enjoy your meal outdoors. The food is high quality, and our favorite dish is the salmon. The menu offers a mix of modern Polish cuisine with international influences, so there’s something for every taste. Plus, it was recognised by the 2024 Michelin Guide, which makes it even more special.
📍Rynek Główny 6, 31-042 Kraków
Mazi

Mazi is one of those places we loved from the very first visit. If you’re looking for where to eat in Krakow and enjoy sharing dishes with friends or your partner, you’re going to love this spot. The style is similar to tapas: you order several small (or slightly larger) dishes and get to try a bit of everything. The food blends Greek flavors with a modern twist. It’s unlike any cuisine we’ve tried before.
The menu changes every few months, but so far, we’ve loved everything we’ve had.
In 2024, it was featured in the Michelin Guide — and honestly, it totally deserves it. It’s perfect for a date night or an evening out with friends. No doubt, one of the best restaurants in Krakow.
📍Rynek Podgórski 9, 30-518 Kraków
Boccanera, one of the best Italian restaurants in Krakow
Boccanera is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Krakow. It’s located just a short walk from the Main Square and has a modern vibe with elegant touches. They serve wood-fired pizzas, pastas, and classic Italian dishes, all made with high-quality ingredients. The kitchen is open, so you can watch them prepare everything right in front of you.
📍Świętego Tomasza 15, 31-018 Kraków
Woosabi

Woosabi is one of our favorite spots in Krakow for Asian food. They serve really tasty bowls—our favorites are the crispy chicken and the Woosabi Bowl with salmon. They also have great vegetarian options.

We’re also big fans of their non-alcoholic cocktails. And the place itself is super pretty, filled with plants everywhere. If you don’t believe us, just check out the photos.
📍Św. Wawrzyńca 19, 31-060 Kraków
EL&N London
EL&N London is one of our favorite places to eat in Krakow, especially when we’re in the mood for something sweet. It was one of those spots we’d always passed by, thinking they only served desserts and breakfast. With its rose-covered entrance and everything decorated in shades of pink, it felt more like a place to grab a coffee and a little treat.
But one day we were craving breakfast and decided to give it a try. And to our surprise, not only was the breakfast delicious, but they also have great lunch and dinner options—like burgers, chicken wraps, and pasta.
And if you go, don’t miss the pistachio tiramisu. It’s one of our favorite desserts, and EL&N makes it really well—with generous portions too!
Szalone Widelce, one of the best restaurants with Polish food in Cracow
If you’re looking for an authentic restaurant to try Polish food in Krakow, Szalone Widelce is an excellent choice. This restaurant has a menu full of Polish classics, and one of our favorite dishes is the placki ziemniaczane (potato pancakes). They also offer a variety of traditional soups and meats.
U babci Maliny
U Babci Maliny is one of the best places to try traditional Polish food in Krakow. The interior feels like an old countryside home, with wooden furniture, floral curtains, and lots of little details that take you back in time. The food is homemade, the portions are generous, and everything is full of flavor.
Nostra Napoletana

Nostra Napoletana was a 2024 discovery. Although it’s a bit farther from the historic center, it’s very close to spots like the Ghetto Heroes Square and Schindler’s Factory. So if you’re exploring that area, it’s the perfect place to take a break and enjoy one of the best pizzas in Krakow.
Nolio
Nolio is one of the most popular pizzerias in Krakow. The specialty here is authentic Neapolitan pizza, made with ingredients imported from Italy and baked in a wood-fired oven. Although there’s often a line due to its popularity, if you’re not in a hurry, we assure you it’s worth the wait.
N’Pizza
N’Pizza is another excellent option in Krakow, popular with both locals and tourists. Although it doesn’t usually have long lines, the quality of its pizza remains top-notch.
📍Rajska 3/lok. 2, 31-124 Kraków
Hevre
If you’re looking for a unique restaurant in Krakow, Hevre is one of those places. Located in Kazimierz, this restaurant used to be a synagogue, and its decor still reflects that style. The food is international: they offer pasta, fish, burgers, and delicious breakfasts. We think everyone can find something they like. In the afternoons, they often host events, and on weekends, it turns into a nightclub at night.
📍 Beera Meiselsa 18, 31-058 Kraków
Mr Pancake

If you’re on a diet, you might want to skip this one. But hey… during a trip, calories don’t count, right? 😅 Mr. Pancake is perfect if you’re craving something different (and a little heavy). Not only do they serve sweet pancakes with over-the-top toppings, but they also make burgers and pizzas with combinations you wouldn’t expect, like Cheetos or colorful sauces. The portions are huge and very filling, so if you’re not super hungry, it’s best to share, especially the pancakes. If you’re looking for somewhere fun and different to eat in Krakow, you’ll love this place.
Orzo
Orzo is perfect if you’re not sure what type of food you’re in the mood for or if you’re eating with people who have different tastes. They have a super varied menu, with pasta, pizza, salads, burgers, and more. Plus, it’s very close to Schindler’s Factory, so if you’re looking for somewhere to eat after your visit, now you know where to go.
