Polish Food

Zurek - polish soup served in bread
Zurek – polish soup served in bread

Polish food is delicious, but it’s important to know where to eat in Warsaw to avoid tourist traps with poor price-quality ratios. Some classic Polish dishes include pierogi, similar to empanadas filled with various fillings, and bigos, a hearty meat stew with sauerkraut. Don’t miss zapiekanka, a baguette-style pizza, as well as żurek served in bread, a special soup in a round loaf, and placki ziemniaczane, potato pancakes. Discover authentic Polish cuisine at local spots for an unforgettable food experience in Warsaw. Bon appétit!

Fabryka Norblina

Fabryka Norblina

The next place we recommend for dining in Warsaw is Fabryka Norblina. It’s not a traditional restaurant but more of a food court, similar to those in shopping malls, offering a wide variety of culinary options. It’s perfect for going out with friends, as everyone can choose what they want to eat or drink. Inside, there’s a large food court, and outside, you’ll find some independent restaurants. In addition to food, Fabryka Norblina also features shops, museums, and a cinema.

📍 Żelazna 51/53

Browary Warszawskie

Browary Warszawskie
Browary Warszawskie

Near Fabryka Norblina, you’ll find another similar spot – Browary Warszawskie. It’s like Fabryka Norblina but a bit smaller, without shops or museums. Inside and around Browary Warszawskie, you’ll find a variety of restaurants. Additionally, right next door is NINE’s, a restaurant and bar created by Polish footballer Robert Lewandowski. It’s a perfect spot to watch a football match with friends.

📍 Grzybowska 60

Elektrownia Powisle

Elektrownia Powiśle is another food court like the ones mentioned before, but in a different area near the Vistula River. It’s a great spot with a variety of places to grab a bite or enjoy a drink with friends.

📍Dobra 42

Marcello the best pizza place in Warsaw

Marcello was the first Italian restaurant we discovered when we moved to Warsaw, and it’s a reliable spot for enjoying great food and authentic Neapolitan pizza in the city. Whenever friends visit us in Warsaw, we always take them to Marcello for pizza. We highly recommend it!

📍 Piekna 28/34

Lupo Pasta Fresca, the best restaurant with pasta in Warsaw

Italian restaurant in Warsaw
Lupo Pasta Fresca

This spot was our top discovery in Warsaw for 2023! Lupo Pasta Fresca is hands-down the best restaurant in Warsaw for Italian pasta and desserts. They offer a wide variety of pastas; we’ve tried nearly all of them, and none have disappointed. The prices are reasonable, though some pasta portions are a bit on the smaller side—or maybe they just seem small because they’re so delicious, you always want more! 🤔 Either way, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re a fan of Italian cuisine.

📍 Chmielna 132/134

Pablo Tapas, one of our favourite restaurants in Warsaw

Spanish restaurant in Warsaw
Pablo Tapas Bar

If you love Spanish cuisine, Pablo Tapas Bar will become one of your favorite spots in Warsaw. They serve Patatas Bravas, croquettes, grilled calamari, and a wide selection of other authentic Spanish tapas. It’s the perfect place to go out with friends and enjoy delicious food in a lively setting.

Don’t visit this place if you’re on a diet! At Mr. Pancake, you’ll indulge in some truly over-the-top creations. Besides their amazing pancakes, they serve cannabis-infused pizzas, burgers with blue sauces, smoky cocktails, and more. It’s one of the must-visit restaurants in Warsaw—you’ll leave both full and completely satisfied. And if you’re heading to Krakow after Warsaw, you’re in luck—they have a location there too!

Bułkę przez Bibułkę

If you’re strolling through the center of Warsaw in the morning and spot a line, it’s probably for breakfast at Bułkę przez Bibułkę. This popular spot offers delicious breakfasts with great value for money, and the best part is they serve breakfast all day. So if you’re not an early riser and miss the morning deals, don’t worry—Bułkę przez Bibułkę has you covered.

They have several locations around Warsaw, including these two in the city center:

📍Zgoda 3

📍Żurawia 6/12

Stolica Lodów i Paczków

Bibi’s Cafe and Bar

Bibi’s Cafe and Bar is a cozy cafe in Warsaw where you can enjoy healthier options. They offer delicious breakfast dishes and vitamin-packed smoothies. Besides breakfast, Bibi’s also serves brunch and lunch options. It’s a fantastic spot for remote work in Warsaw, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to stay productive while enjoying fresh food and drinks.
